Meet the Team
Ian Dowling
Ian completed a BSc Sports and Exercise Science in the University of Limerick in 2005. He then went on to have a successful Rugby career with Munster Rugby winning two European Cups, Magners League and was capped for Ireland. Unfortunately his career was cut short in 2010 due to a hip injury sustained while playing.
He studied Physiotherapy in the University of Limerick and graduated in 2014. Ian’s approach to Physiotherapy was shaped by his time as a professional Rugby player where injuries are an unfortunate part of the sport. He has a clinical interest in hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA). He is part of a research committee based in the University of Limerick looking at improving management strategies for knee and hip OA.
